Expert Assistance
Flight Arrangements
Air travel from your home city to the tour start and end points is not included in the tour price. As a full-service travel agency, Academy Travel can assist with booking international and domestic flights, whether on our recommended airline or the carrier of your choice.
Many travellers also choose to arrive at their destination before the tour begins, allowing time to rest after a long journey, adjust to a new time zone or explore independently. We can arrange additional nights at the first tour hotel where available and coordinate flight schedules and airport transfers to ensure a seamless start to your journey.

As an accredited travel agency, Academy Travel can assist with booking international and domestic flights.
Your dedicated Tour Consultant will work with you to coordinate these arrangements and ensure they align with your tour itinerary.
Please note that additional travel bookings involving flights, accommodation or transfers not directly associated with the tour will attract a service fee of $300 per booking. We do not charge a fee for booking additional nights accommodation at the tour hotels.
A requirement on tour
Travel Insurance
Academy Travel requires all tour participants to have adequate travel insurance coverage. For most, travel is a wonderful experience, and though we don’t plan for things to go wrong, unfortunately sometimes they will.
In addition to providing cover for medical expenses, comprehensive travel insurance may also protect against pre-departure cancellation, travel delays, lost luggage and travel documents, including passports.

What level of policy do I require?
For any international tours, comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory.
For domestic tours, Medicare and your private medical insurance should be used to cover any medical expenses.
The cost of travel insurance will vary depending on factors such as your destination, age, length of travel and any pre-existing medical conditions.
A seamless start
Pre-Tour Arrival
Many travellers choose to arrive at their destination before the tour begins. A pre-tour stay provides an opportunity to recover from a long journey, adjust to local time zones and settle into your surroundings before meeting the group.
Arriving early can also allow time to explore independently, visit museums and galleries, or simply enjoy the destination at a more relaxed pace. Where available, Academy Travel can arrange additional nights at the first tour hotel, ensuring a seamless transition into the tour.
Arranging Your Pre-Tour Stay
Your dedicated Tour Consultant can assist with booking additional nights at the first tour hotel, as well as coordinating flights and transfers to ensure all arrangements align with your itinerary.
Please note that we do not charge a fee for booking additional nights accommodation at the tour hotels.

Travel documentation
Passports & Visas
Travellers are responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport and any visas required for the countries visited on their tour. Passport validity requirements vary between destinations, and some countries require passports to be valid for at least six months beyond the date of travel. Visa requirements can also vary depending on your nationality and destination.
Where applicable, Academy Travel will provide guidance on visa requirements relevant to your tour. Unless otherwise stated in the detailed itinerary for your tour, obtaining and maintaining the necessary travel documentation remains the responsibility of each traveller.
