Anita is often the first point of contact for enquiries at Academy Travel, providing essential administrative support to our consultants.
She studied languages at the University of Sydney, majoring in French, and has nurtured a lifelong passion for all things French—architecture, food, fashion, and culture. Anita studied in Paris and has travelled to France many times. She also lived and worked in Milan, Italy, for a year, teaching herself Italian, and continues to maintain both languages.
Her career began as a travel agent before moving into magazine publishing. Later, she lived and worked in New York for several years, where her first daughter was born, before relocating to Shanghai for a year. She eventually returned home to Sydney, where her second daughter was born.
More recently, Anita has pursued studies in gemstones, completing Certificates in Practical Diamond and Advanced Practical Diamond Grading. She finds the life, history, and beauty of diamonds and other gemstones endlessly fascinating.
Anita has travelled extensively throughout the South Pacific, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the UK, and North America. In her spare time, she enjoys beachside walks, relaxing in cafés, browsing homewares stores and watching foreign films.
