overview
Preview the highly anticipated NGV Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition – French Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Tour.
Founded in 1870, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) has cultivated a rich legacy and an expansive collection, notably distinguished by its exceptional holdings of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces from late nineteenth-century France. A highlight of the upcoming NGV exhibition is a significant loan from the MFA, showcasing more than 100 iconic works by artists including Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet and Camille Pissarro – all of whom transformed the art world with their vibrant brushwork, bold colours and innovative perspectives.
Join art historian Kenneth W. Park for an illuminating introduction to this landmark exhibition – offering valuable insights into French Impressionism.
